Like many Singaporean millennials, Lee Jing Lin once thought online dating would be the solution to finding love in this digital age. But after endless and aimless swiping and texting on the multiple apps available in the market, the 26-year-old learnt that it wasn’t her cup of tea.
“I looked at the landscape and realised it was quite problematic. It just felt like a game. We’re just swiping and judging people based on how they look. While it boosts a user’s self-gratification, it’s an inefficient dating process,” she explains.

Singapore Business Review: Four Singapore startups to join international VC accelerator program
The startups beat out 500 other aspirants, and will receive up to $200k in funding each.
Four Singapore-headquartered startups have entered international accelerator venture capitalist Accelerating Asia’s fourth cohort of its flagship 100-day program for pre-Series A startups.
The startups who entered the program are dating platform KopiDate, co-living operator Casa Mia, mobility startup Driver Lah, and QR ordering & payments platform Waitrr, along with other startups from Indonesia, Pakistan and Bangladesh making up a total of 11 on Accelerating Asia's fourth cohort.
